U of T now has approved Part 2 JHSC Trainers

The Ministry of Labour recently approved the University of Toronto to provide Part 2 Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Training . The University is amongst the first employers in Ontario to provide in-house Part 2 JHSC training to its employees. The training is taken after Part 1 has been completed and results in full JHSC certification. The new JHSC Certification Training Standards came into effect March 1, 2016 and strengthens the foundational training requirements for all certified JHSC members. The training is now available through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety and is held on the St. George campus.
