COVID-19: I am a non-household contact/close contact of someone who is symptomatic or who tested positive for COVID-19

April 1, 2022

If you are a non-household contact of someone with COVID-19 (i.e. you do not live with them), you do not need to self-isolate unless you develop symptoms. If you have symptoms, please follow the steps outlined for symptomatic individuals.

Follow these steps for the next 10 days:

  1. Self-monitor for symptoms.
  2. Wear a mask in public settings.
  3. Avoid activities with mask removal.
  4. No visits to highest risk setting (seniors/immunocompromised).
