Our office is currently hiring the following work-study positions:

Job Id: 139329 Central Chemical Inventory Program Assistant:

This position entails assisting the Office of Environmental Health and Safety in performing physical inventory reconciliation for the chemical inventories in the HECHMET central chemical inventory management system. The training for the HECHMET chemical inventory management system will be provided. Under supervision the applicant would conduct data collection by a mobile computer in the chemical inventory field and process the data collected as required. The applicant should have a background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry, possess self-initiative, organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and good oral and written communication skills. Lab experience is an asset and the ability to work independently under supervision.

Job Id: 138457 Biosafety Program Assistant:

This position entails supporting the Office of Environmental Health and Safety with the development of resource materials (including standard operating procedures and protocols (SOPs), web content, and documents for a variety of Health and Safety Programs).  The applicant should have a background in Biological and Chemical Sciences (radiation an asset), possess good writing and oral communication skills and the ability to conduct online research. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently under minimum supervision is required.
