Due to existing regulations and new initiatives brought forth by various agencies (Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry) the University is required to regulate work with invertebrates, plants and soil, particularly if they are genetically modified or imported.
In order to prepare for the upcoming regulations, as well as the ongoing consultations around compliance the University requires an inventory of invertebrates, plants and soils that Faculty Members are working with.
Our office has created the Invertebrates, Plants and Soil Questionnaire to be completed by Principal Investigators at the University of Toronto working with invertebrates, plants and/or soil.
If you have any questions about the form or require further information please contact the Biosafety Team.
