Health & Safety Board Required Items

Each workplace is required to have a health and safety board in a conspicuous place along with the following required postings:

  1. Occupational Health & Safety Act (the green book or printed version)
  2. University of Toronto Health & Safety Policy
  3. University of Toronto Workplace Harassment & Workplace Violence Policy
  4. JHSC Membership List (Name/Location/Contact Information)
  5. JHSC Minutes of the last meeting
  6. WSIB In Case of Injury & EHS In Case of Injury & Incident Poster
  7. Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Decelopment (MLITSD) Health & Safety at Work Prevention Starts Here Poster
  8. MLITSD Documents (Field Visit Reports, Orders, Compliance Forms) – per the Occupational Health & Safety Act, documents can be removed after 14 days
  9. EHS Type 3 Asbestos Abatement Information

 

JHSC health & safety boards location found here. EHS conducts annual audits of the health and safety boards on campus but JHSCs are responsible for updating the boards throughout the year. Please inform EHS when a board is installed/relocated so updates can be made to the JHSC Health & Safety Boards listing.
